英文要約Title:Project to Support Innovative New Energy Technology Ventures (Wind Power et.al.) / Development of Small-Grid Power Generation System using Hot Spring Heat Source (FY2007-FY2008) Final ReportThere are many high-temperature hot springs (“ONSEN”) exceeding 50 degrees C in Japan. In some cases of them, necessary portion of them is using for taking bath and rest is discharging without utility. Since it is important not to mix hot spring water with fresh water and to maintain the effect with original hot spring water from a viewpoint of balneotherapy in Japan, the power generation using temperature difference attracts the attention as a method of cooling high temperature hot spring without dilution. Kalina Cycle which uses ammonia-water heat transfer medium attracts attention recently as thermal-energy-conversion technology using low temperature heat source (70 - 120 deg.C hot water in this case). The system would simultaneously generate electricity, the heat source for hot water shower, and bathing hot spa to the hotels and be reduced the carbon dioxide. Innovation of a smaller-scale geothermal power generation system will expand the geothermal power market to rural areas where each electricity demand is relatively limited. Innovation of a lower-temperature geothermal power generation system will directly enlarge the geothermal power market because abundance of hydrothermal resource dramatically increases with decreasing resource temperature. For the dual purposes, a development project of a 50 kW class Kalina cycle geothermal power generation system is conducted. Key subjects for the project are down-sizing of the hardware with keeping its original energy conversion efficiency and protection of the heat exchanger from mineral precipitates., the following research has been achieved during FY2007 to FY2009: (1) Development of small scale steam turbine generator and power unit: design and manufacturing of power unit (Heat Exchangers, pump unit, vessels, and cooling tower) and 50kW-class steam turbine generator, test of the small scale steam turbine in the factory (Under Simulated heat source fluid at 98deg.C and 6.476kg/s, At design point of 67.26kW (Gross) , test was obtained the measured value of 63.92kW and we could achieve 95% performance from the design point), (2) Development for protection of the heat exchanger from mineral precipitates: Field test in Otari (Nagano Pref.) and Kawazu (Shizuoka Pref.) and design of optimum solution using several methodologies, i) mechanical method using cyclone separator, ii) chemical equilibrium method using CO2 injection, iii) electrochemical method using electrode, iv)electromagnetic method (3) Marketing research: Evaluation of potential market and hearing and examination of business models. (4) Business Plan: Construction of business plans and cost estimation.
