1  Carbon nano tube that is key material that supports nanotechnology (CNT). Development of low price and long-lived capacitor that used CNT. It aims at the performance improving of the CNT capacitor and the improvement of reliability. The CNT accumulating type capacitor is developed. Finally, it aims at making of the battery for the car for the medical treatment for the mobile phone etc. It aims at the achievement of high power, a high-energy, and a long-lived CNT accumulated electricity system for that. In this development, the technology development of the 2 lines to achieve making to the business to spread it to the public welfare was done. a) Lowering the cost of efficient CNT b) Making of CNT accumulating type capacitor For the above-mentioned two items to achieve the following target, the technology development was done. 2 Performance target in 2010 fiscal year 1)Lowering the cost of efficient CNT ・Continuous synthesis for ten hours ・Thermogravimetry (TGA): .impurity other than CNT. 10 .% or less. 2)Making of CNT hybrid storage battery ・Energy density 20Wh/kg and power density 20kW/kg ・Electrical charge and discharge deterioration 2% or less Target (1000 cycles) 3. Content of execution in 2010 fiscal year Research and development item 1)Lowering the cost of efficient CNT (Meijyo Nanocarbon Ltd.) The small continuous synthesis device that uses the tube furnace of about φ60mm will be developed by May, 2011. a) It is a hydrogen gas of the fixed quantity, and a mechanism to do the spraying supply like the mist as for camphor and naphthalene system solution that becomes the raw material of CNT.b) Rack to retain optimal vertical shape to use of tube furnace continuously. c) The mechanism to recover single-wall CNT that can be done continuously after it reacts is developed, CNT is synthesized continuously for ten hour , and it suppresses it to the impurity 10% or less. Data (amount of the remainder of impurities by thermogravimetry (TGA), analysis by the electron micrograph, and crystalline, etc. by the Raman scattering spectrometry) by the quality evaluation examination is concurrently acquired. 2)Making of CNT hybrid storage battery (Spacelink Ltd.) Development of CNT accumulating type capacitor The technology development to integrate the structure of the electrode and the separator will be done by May, 2011. The gel electrification quality film would be concretely made by February, 2011, and the CNT electrode was made by March, 2011. The performance measurement of the assembled CNT accumulating type capacitor will be done by April, 2011. As the desired value, it is energy density 20Wh/kg, and power density 20kW/kg. Energy density 19.9-107Wh/kg was achieved. 20.6Kw/Kg was confirmed about the power density. It was confirmed that the doing deterioration was 2% or less from the cyclic test 500-1000 cycles and the electrical charge and discharge loss 2% or less.
