1燃焼基礎特性の研究
(ア)酸素富化時の燃焼特性
対向流火炎試験装置および噴流火炎試験装置の仕様検討・設計・試作を行う。流量制御系の構築、ガス供給系と流量制御系間および流量制御系と試験装置間の配管を構築する。また、通常手法では観察できない緩慢火炎の観測のため、既存のレーザー光源を活用した光学計測を構築する(信号処理装置、高感度受光系、各種消耗品を導入)。ガス分析装置(各種消耗品含む)を導入する。また、既存の計算コードを用いた数値解析により、燃焼特性の数値シミュレーションを実施する。

Research on fundamental combustion characteristics
Counterflow flame apparatus for Oxy-fuel Combustion has been designed and fabricated. Room-temperature oxygen-rich combustion characteristics were examined and ratio of oxygen to carbon dioxide at 0.35/0.65 was found to be equivalent to ordinary “air” combustion in terms of extinction limits. Computations with detailed chemical reaction for high temperature oxidizer up to 1000K were also conducted.

Development for test burner
Test burner for High temperature Oxy-fuel Combustion has been designing on the basis of regenerative burners design method for High Temperature Air Combustion. Regenerator media and switching valves incorporated with the burner body will be smaller than that of burner for HiCOT, therefore it has been designed as downsizing from HiCOT burners. In order to maximize the heat exchange efficiency of regenerative heat exchange, partial recirculation of flue gases should be considered. The concrete method for the recirculation is discussing among researchers who are taking charge.

Development for test furnace
Furnace design is proceeding as a partial model for an actual heat treatment furnace. The size of furnace inside will be Length1500 x Width 700 x Height 700 at current design status. Further discussion is necessary for making the furnace which has capability for expecting to get efficient test results.

Development for Combustion Control Systems
The issues of leakage inside the switching device which is for turn over the oxidizer and flue gas are discussing. The effect of leakage will be more serious than that of combustion with air because the volume of oxidizer for oxy-fuel combustion is much smaller than ordinary combustion.
