The effective bioethanol producing system which is using cotton as material has been studied by a repeating saccharification and fermentation method. This method expects to avoid inhibition of the works of cellulose. The works of cellulases was inhibited by glucose which was produced during saccharification. This has been a serious problem to produce bioethanol from cellulose. In our study, secondary saccharification will be carried out after deducing the density of glucose by fermentation. Therefore, our method can be expected that the inhibition of the works of cellulase is difficult to happen. To develop this method, in this year, we examined the degree of inhibition for cellulases’ work by observing the density of glucose during saccharification. And we examined the dependency of liquor ratio and amount of addition of cellulase for the density of glucose. In research and develop terms of 1, we found 1.During saccharification, the density of glucose increases with saccharification time increases and saturated after saccharification time of 72 h.2. This result suggested that the production of glucose inhibits the works of cellulase or deactivation of cellulase happened after saccharification time of 72 h.3. The addition of dry yeast at the saccharification time of 72 h decreased the density of glucose. This was suggested that ethanol fermentation was happened.4. In research and develop terms of 3 and 4, we found 1. Results of saccharification for various liquor ratios showed that the glucose density increase with the liquor ratio decrease and glucose density saturated after 72 h.2. Results of saccharification for various amount of cellulase addition showed that glucose density saturated after 72 h.3. Consideration of a practical viewpoint, liquor ratio should be more than 10:1 and amount of celluase auditioned should be less than 20 wt%. About demonstration tests we performed the following experiment in order to promote a smooth verification of test equipment.4.Performed experiments on optimization of fermentation conditions and verification of saccharification time in existing facility.5.Produced an emulsion fuel , be obtained by mixing C heavy oil and bio-ethanol. And we have combustion experiment about it.6.We performed the analysis using the data obtained by experiment and the experimental results. And we have brush up of the business plan. The results of the experiment, by using emulsion fuel, heavy fuel oil reduction was confirmed. This experiment data will give the best condition of a repeating saccharification and fermentation method bioethanol producing method. In addition, we will analyze the results and the demonstration tests results. And we will continue technology development and brush up the business plan to advance.
