英文要約Title: Development of Reflection-style Concentrating Photovoltaic (CPV) power generation system

In order to achieve the NEDO target of power generation cost, MES worked on the following technology arena to make next generation CPV design possible.

1. Light harvesting
1.1 Experiment of two different methods TAR and BDTAR concentrator
This trial led MES to conceive a new idea of NewTAR
Case1) off-axis XR concentrator and
Case2) off-axis XR Kohler concentrator

1.2 Achievement of 83% concentration efficiency on NewTAR simulation result
1.3 Achievement of 27% module efficiency and 36% cell efficiency
1.4 Achievement of 1800 suns concentration ratio
1.5 Next target is the Achievement of 30% module efficiency and 38% cell efficiency with SOE

1.6 The resulting high acceptance angle (1.33deg for 800x) for off-axis XR Kohler concentrator is highly tolerant to manufacturing errors which potentially allows to obtain competitive costs for the mass production elements by relaxing the mechanical constrains of the system

2. Heat discharge
2.1 Evaluation of CPV cell thermal resistance
2.2 Comparison of manufacture’s data with heat flow analysis and experiment

3. Tracking Device Mechanisms
3.1 Installation of new tracking device
3.2 Evaluation of tracking command and actual movement error.
Achievement of +- 0.11 degree against 10 degree operation

4. Manufacturing
4.1 Cost-effective manufacturing method of primary mirror to achieve 94% Reflection Established a method to use resin mold injection and silver evaporation coating
4.2 Manufacturing of Secondary Optical Element (SOE) using off-axis XR Kohler design
Performance will be verified through next phase Field test

5. Field test apparatus
5.1 Manufacturing of field test apparatus
5.2 Rated output of 2-3kW, Cell size of 7mm
