英文要約Title: Fundamental Technology Development of Next OLED Lighting of High-efficiency and High-quality

Final target of this national project is to realize the organic light emitting diode (OLED) features high efficiency (luminescent efficiency ≧130 lm/W ), high quality (general color rendering index;≧80, luminance;≧1,000 cd/m2 and life time of luminance;≧40,000 hours ) with emitting area of ≧100 cm2 .
It is named Stage II.
Firstly, we made the detailed plan to realize above target along with clarifying the technological challenge to achieve it. Now we are executing those plans to achieve the target.
The target of fiscal year 2012 was determined to be high efficiency (≧80 lm/W), general color rendering index (≧80), luminance (≧1,000 cd/m2) and life time of luminance (≧30,000 hours) with emitting area of ≧25cm2.
We carried out detailed analysis both OLED materials and devices to clarify the key factors to obtain longer life time. As a result, we narrowed down new blue phosphorescent materials for Stage II. In addition, all phosphorescent white OLED with a luminous efficacy of 81 lm/W and a half decay lifetime of 30,000 hrs at 1,000 cd/m2 was developed. Therefore we achieved our target of fiscal year 2012.
Our coated transparent conductive film and coated barrier film development also proceeded. Our coated transparent conductive film achieved 1 ohm/sq. with 80 %, our coated barrier film achieved 10E-5 g/m2/d WVTR under 85 degrees C and at a humidity of 85 %.
The development of the production engineering almost made progress according to aim of the year. In the cleaning technology, we narrowed down the option which is combined chemical and physical method. In the coating technology, we analyzed the performance degradation by Roll-to-Roll process. It was clear that the bulk structures of EML showed some differences resulting from the fabrication method. In the electrode
deposition technology, we got a prospect of consecutive stabilization by the optimization of process conditions. In the sealing technology, we developed the unique continuous lamination technology with 30 cm in width of substrate.In the inline inspection technology, we designed the carrier and power feeding system, and ordered the equipment. In the web handling technology, we were successful in feeding and winding with
100 cm in width of flexible substrate by non-contact web handling technology.
