(1) Validation of the business model:
We are creating a business plan, as well as overseeing the development and scrutiny of an entry in the database (farmers information, vegetables information, etc.) from descriptions and interviews with users (consumers, restaurants and farmers) of our Database Matching System (hereinafter called "MDS") . These interviews were conducted through a survey of 162 consumers, 30 restaurants and 30 farmers in Kumamoto Prefecture. 12 to 18 items were included in the interviews, relating to issues such as the current state of management, sales and consumption activities, and usage of communications equipment, etc.
We also made an assumption about the charging method and verification logistics involved in the actual transaction by selecting a wholesaler that is assumed to be covered by this model.
(2) Embedding of nutritional information:
The consumers needs have been investigated by using common search engines and research indicator sites such as a medical portal site. We have also researched aggregate nutritional information which should be provided to the user, such as illness or symptoms for each season.
In addition, we have created 37 data item associated with the disease and 3 major nutrients.
(3) MDS system design:
we have started a feasibility study on the latest trends and technology of high-speed data processing from the national and international conferences and exhibitions such as Cloud Days Tokyo 2013, IEEE-AINA2013, NTT DATA Innovation Conference 2013, etc.
We also examined our fast pattern matching method by creating a sample data set obtained by adding the time axis (year) to three-dimensional space that consists of nutrient attributes, food attributes and consumer information.
Furthermore, we have designed a cloud-based system which is based on fixed connections between each database of 15 vegetables, 10 recipes and 15 restaurants and it is ready to be piloted.
(4) MDS user interface design and building:
We have designed and built the MDS user interface which is able to work with 21 different types of data such as restaurants, recipes, nutrition and disease.
The administrator is also able to add, edit, delete and display data from a specially designed interface.
