Summary:
The component engineering of "Power Generation Turbine and System" and "Construction Technology of Power Plant Using Bridge Pier" was developed for the purpose of establishment of "The Power .Generation from Tidal Currents Using Bridge Pier" .Moreover, it verified also about "Implementability Verification of Current Power Generation Using Bridge Pier ".
In development of "Power Generation Turbine and System", the symmetric model turbine design which can respond to a reciprocating current was performed. As a result, power generating capacity determined the number of wings of the turbine which attains 100kw, the pitch ratio, and the surface product ratio.
In development of "Construction Technology of Power Plant Using Bridge Pier", the bridge pier aiming at arrangement of the precondition towards institution installation was investigated. From results of an investigation, after arranging the basic information on each bridge pier, the institution specification proposal was created.
In "Implementability Verification of Current Power Generation Using Bridge Pier " the current database of Seto-Inland Sea was created for the purpose of selection of the current power generation appropriate place. Moreover, carrying out bottom topography survey and current observation for the power generation appropriate place extracted in the database estimated current energy.
Furthermore, preparations towards roundtable establishment were made for the purpose of evaluation of the implementability from social / economical viewpoint of bridge pier use type power generation.
