(1) Development of the optimization of the manufacturing infrastructure
We finished designing and built an evaluation system which will be used for validation in Thailand. With in mind that it would be carried inside of a building, the evaluation system was designed and built to have a structure that it could be divided into 4 blocks. We are currently adjusting it in Japan and planning to transport it to Thailand at the beginning of the next fiscal year. We also conducted a cell transport trial using special container for transporting cells.

(2) Development of the technology of regenerative medicine and cell therapy (The cartilage regeneration)
Prior to clinical trial of regenerating articular cartilage by autologous bone marrow-derived mesenchymal cell transplant at Srinakharinwirot University and Chulalongkorn University, we trained cell culture technicians. We created standard operating procedures and developed implementation scheme and technology base for them.
In addition, we drew up an implementation protocol for each university and applications to ethics committee. Srinakharinwirot University approved them. We also introduced our technology to orthopedists in Thailand.

(3) Development of the technology of regenerative medicine and cell therapy (The cornea regeneration)
Remote conference system is required to promote communication between groups in Japan and Thailand. The conference system was set up in 7 institutes, and we held a couple of conferences through the system.
In order to transfer techniques such as cell culture, evaluation, and transplantation of the cell sheet to researchers and doctors in Thailand, Dr. Adisak and Dr. Kanit visited at Osaka University for learning the techniques in June, 2012. We also visited Thailand and discussed based on the clinical protocol for preparing documents to IRB in August, 2012. We confirmed that Siriraj hospital at Mahidol University has enough facility to perform the clinical study at the lab and outpatient clinic.
We also modified globe box area of R-CPX for the culture of epithelial cell sheet.

(4)Development of building communication infrastructure including IT and radio
Our final target is kept in highly infrastructure of the certainty convenience of the communication and quality for each of the remote meeting system for periodical mutual understanding, the remote monitoring and operation of the cell culture device between the project constitution members.
The maintenance of the network construction which linked each bases in this project of Japan and Thailand was an urgent requirement in 24th year, it completed fixed network construction in the Thailand by March and in Japan by December.
