英文要約In 2012, we evaluated the gas engine performance with the fuel gas components fluctuation. We calculated LHV(Lower Heating Value) from the fuel gas components every one hour about four days of from June 19th to June 22th at when the gas engine operated the rating output continuously.From the fuel gas components previously, we assumed LHV was 36.3MJ/m3N and this value was the standard value in this report. The MHI SAGAMIHARA standard about the LHV of fuel gas is as follows. (1)Fluctuation of the LHV of the fuel gas: ±2% or less (2)Fluctuation cycle of the LHV of the fuel gas: more than 5 minutes :The LHV of the fuel gas changed continually during the measurement time. The mean LHV of 4 days was 36.1 MJ/m3N, and it was slightly low compared with the standard LHV(=36.3MJ/m3N) that we assumed. And we confirmed that fluctuation of the LHV of the fuel is ±2% or less during from June 19th to June 22th.Concerning to the LHV fluctuation, it was only +0.06%(0.023MJ/m3N) per five minutes from 13:00 to 14:00 of June 19 when the fluctuation was the biggest.The data of the gas property were measured every one hour. Therefore it was unknown whether instant fluctuation was within one hour or not. However, the LHV values of every hour showed the continuity, we judged that there was not an instant fluctuation.Therefore because of the stable gas components, we think that the gas engine can attain the stable operation.
In the Japan-U.S. smart grid collaborative demonstration project, the gas engine cogeneration system is required to evaluate the performance of gas engine at a high altitude (around 1500 m).In the following procedures, we examined the gas engine performance in a place at a high altitude. :(1) 242kW of derated output(around 80% of sea level performance) at a high altitude (around 1500 m) place :(2) increase of 10% load at each measuring point from the non-load(=0kW) to the rated load :(3) increase to 110%(336kW) of rated output at sea level :And the factory test had been carried out in July 2011.We regard test result(=value) of rated output at sea level as 100%, we compared the test result of factory with the test result of the ABQ site. The comparison results are as follows. :(1) Generating efficiency at the same output point decreases about 8% in the high altitude (around 1500 m). :(2) The exhaust temperatures in the high altitude and the sea level are almost equal at the output of 200kW and more. :(3) The output in high altitude is subject to the limit of turbocharger rotational speed. :(4) Rated output(=242kW) at high altitude satisfies the allowable turbocharger rotational speed.
