As the requirement definition for PV forecasting system, the specifications for data exchange with other systems were discussed. Regarding data exchange with micro-EMS (by Toshiba), the basic specifications, such as the data items, the time intervals of each exchange and the range of each data, were roughly agreed. It was also agreed that the forecast data are to be provided to smart house as well. As for the meteorological observation data obtained by Los Alamos National Laboratory, two options to access data was offerd; HTTP or FTP. When deciding on the protocol, a few security issues need to be considerd. : Following the requirement definition, Use Cases were discussed for the purpose as follows; mutual understanding of the demonstration project between US-side and Japan-side, standardization and/or publicity activities through the registration to 'EPRI Use Case Repository'. In FY2010, the 'Use Case Lite' were formulated through the Task Force Phase 1. Two System Level Use Cases, three Local Level Use Cases and one Results of Pending Item had been selected and discussed. CTC had worked on one of the Local Level Use Cases in cooperation with Toshiba and LANL; L5. PV output forecasting at Los Alamos County site. In L5, five senarios had been selected; #1-Short Range Forecast by CTC PVFS(Forecasting System), #2-Long Range Forecast by CTC PVFS, #3-Short Range Forecast by Toshiba PVFS, #4-Long Range Forecast by Toshiba PVFS and #5-Short Range Forecast by LANL Short Range PVFS. In FY2011, these Use Cases are to be brushed up to 'Public Domain Use Case' and registered to 'EPRI Use Case Repository'.
