1 Purpose of this project
Target of this project is to improve photovoltaic efficiency in infrared region by employing dressed photon, generated at nano-structured reflection layer. Laser assisted and biased sputtering is used for making the nano-structure.
2 Design and preparation of device fabrication system
A fabrication system that enables to make the organic structure of organic photo voltaic (OPV) and the reflection layer continuously in inert gas environment was designed. A sputtering machine can sputter with Ti-Sapphire laser (>690nm, >5W), and a sputtering mask that enables to apply bias to the OPV devices during sputtering were also designed. All these equipments are going to be introduced within March. Evaluation machines such as AFM and solar simulator are also going to be introduced.
3 OPV devices preparation for sputtering study in TOKYO Univ.
OPV devices with thin reflection layer (5nm) and two kinds of buffer thickness (5nm and 50nm) were prepared. They are going to be used for sputtering condition study in TOKYO Univ.
