We acquired the demonstration data on durability, convenience and practicability of FCV hydrogen infrastructure through the operations of twelve HRSs
(Hydrogen Refueling Stations).

(1) 70MPa filling technology
We conducted the first verification tests in the country on communication fueling at the Senju HRS. We also carried out the remodeling of the existing
filling facilities at the both of Senju and Asahi HRSs which could be used for the demonstration of the filling protocol of SAE TIR J2601.

(2) Low cost station technology
We installed the equipments of two different fueling systems -direct filling and differential pressure filling- in Senju and Asahi HRSs.
The compressor for direct fueling system developed by NEDO was introduced into Senju HRS. The differential pressure fueling system constituted some 82MPa
high pressure composite hydrogen storage cylinders were installed at Asahi HRS.
We examined the equipment specifications of a low cost model HRS which was necessary for a station in the starting period from the viewpoints of the user
convenience and the practical marginal ability.

(3) High frequency operation
We accumulated the data on the durability of HRSs and facilities promoting high occupancy fleet operational demonstration.
We attained a total run of 66,100 km and hydrogen filling of 2,030 kg in a fleet operational demonstration using FCVs and FC buses.

(4) Demonstration of Total System technology
As to the technology demonstration of the hydrogen shipment system which can realize hydrogen transportation from the plant to the off-site HRS,
we constructed the shipping equipment at Asahi (on-site) HRS and the receiving and feeding equipment at Suginami (off-site) HRS.
We also established a demonstration facility for shipment with the fueling performance at 1,500Nm3/h (45MPa) and a hydrogen trailer which were focused on
the hydrogen supply infrastructure model in the period of full commercialization.
Demonstration on the separation and recovery of CO2 from on-site hydrogen production unit has been done in both of Haneda and Osaka HRSs.
We carried out the construction of three new HRSs aimed for demonstration of the commercial model. All three HRSs were established based on
the new technical standards revised by an Ordinance of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. Ebina central (off-site) and Kaminokura (on-site) HRSs
were also the first stations constructed compliant with the revised Fire Service Act, attached to the self-service gas station in the country.
Toyota eco full town HRS was an on-site station with the ability to fueling to FC bus.

(5) Others
We carried out long distance demonstration runs between Nikko, Yamanashi and Tokyo area in order to obtain the data on convenience and practicability of
FCV hydrogen infrastructure accompanying the expansion of running distance.
