英文要約Consideration of test methods for evaluating material compatibility in high-pressure gaseous hydrogen.

The threshold stress intensity factors for SNCM439 steel were measured in high-pressure gaseous hydrogen using both the rising load method and the constant displacement method. The KIH values under the two methods were not found to be equivalent. The magnitude of the difference between the two KIH values increases with decreasing tensile strength of the tested materials.
Internal hydrogen pressure tests of hydrogen cylinder vessels made of SA723 steel were performed, and the growth behavior of fatigue cracks, which developed on the inner surface of the test cylinder vessels were evaluated.

In order to establish the effects of non-metal inclusions and strength on fatigue properties, fatigue tests in a hydrogen environment will be performed. A heat-treatment test for conditioning strength was conducted and the non-metal inclusions of the steel were measured.
