2. Practical accomplishment
(1) In order to determine the structure of a complex type reformer, the studies showing as below were completed.
- Calculation of the necessary quantity of a reformer catalyst, a high temperature shift catalyst, a low-temperature shift catalyst, and heat transfer particles.
- Calculation of the heat transfer area of a catalyst layer.
- Calculation of the required heat transfer area of a steam generator.
- Calculation of the amount of combustion of the burner.
(2) The structure of a complex type reformer and outline dimensions were determined from the above-mentioned calculation results, and the detail design was performed.
In the detail design, examination of the manufacture method, the catalyst injection method, and the decomposition assembly method was performed.
