Objective:
While promoting hydrogen filling time to the hydrogen storage system for FCV to the high-pressure hydrogen vessel, preventing over filling and develop to achieve safe and appropriate hydrogen filling. Consistent with the national standards and to develop domestic standards relating to hydrogen filling the international standardization processes.

We are cooperation with The Research Association of Hydrogen Supply/Utilization Technology (HySUT), Saga University, Kyushu University, Japan Automobile Research Institute (JARI), to promote the themes listed below.

Sub-theme 1: Domestic standards revision proposal creation and enactment. (HySUT, JPEC)
Sub-theme 2: Harmonization of international standards and national standards, international cooperation. (HySUT, JARI)
sub-theme 3: Filling technology development / demonstration data obtained. (HySUT, JARI, Saga University until (H25), Kyushu University than (H26))
Sub-theme 4: Filling simulation hydrogen transport properties for high-accuracy data acquisition. (Kyushu University)

Results in 2013 FY:

Sub-theme 1: Domestic standards revision proposal creation and enactment. (HySUT, JPEC)

To build the technical foundation to develop domestic standards relating to hydrogen filling by secure proper and swift hydrogen filling with hydrogen stations.

(1) Development of hydrogen technologies standards and voluntary standards:JPEC
We considered the amendment of the hydrogen refueling standards (JPEC-S 0003), amendment of general high-pressure gas Act and exemplary standards.
That might average-pressure-rump-rate (APRR) lower limit value by refueling slow down at the end of the refueling. If you filled in a cylinder larger than standard cylinder capacity (137 L) the lack of capacity for APRR limit below; Originally, the communication refueling monitors the refueling ratio for APRR lower limit setting should not need. Therefore, we conducted study to relieve the APRR lower limit value.

Furthermore, refueling with the communication in containers larger than standard container capacity (137 L) ,the average-pressure-rump-rate (APRR) decreases. And, APRR decreases if the end of the filler to fill slowly. For sure, the lower limit setting of APRR in communication-refueling is unnecessary because, to mitigate this study also conducted.
