和文要約本研究では、林業生産現場等で発生する木質系高含水バイオマスを原料として、水熱液化により燃料を製造し、その直後に高温・高圧環境下で水熱酸化反応を行うことで高効率でエネルギーを得るプロセスの確立を目的とする。水熱液化と水熱酸化プロセスに関する基礎研究の結果に基づき、装置のスケールアップを行う。今年度は、実験装置作成のための研究開発を行った。

1) Production of hydrothermal liquefied fuel
Establishment of the method of supply and the grinding of the biomass.
High humid waste of woody biomass (D grade waste wood) was used to establish our method. We found a suitable range of the parameters to handle the slurry such as the diameter of the grinded materials and the solid/water ratio. The high-pressure supply pump system was worked well under the condition of the pressure 30MPa and the pumping rate 30ml/min. The designing and the fabrication of the slurry pump system was finished successfully with respect to avoid the plugging phenomena in the pipe at high concentrated slurry.
2) Hydrothermal liquefaction and the interface of wet oxidation
Based on the promotion committee advice, we assumed the total heat production with 20MJ/HHV*kg-dry. Then we analyzed the material and the thermal balancing of the flow. We completed the goal of this year which was the designing and the fabrication of the table-scale equipment (200 g*dry/hr).
3) Reaction vessels of the wet oxidation
Although the materials such as inconel and hastelloy were suitable for reaction vessel from the viewpoint of the resistivity of oxidation under high-temperature condition, we adopted SUS316 temporarily. We will alter the materials through the estimation of the thermal resistance of the reaction vessel, investigation of the behavior of the slurry, and the test operation with high concentrated slurry at high temperature.
