1. Research on Practical Application of Nano-imaging Technique for Cancer Tissues

 Based on the basic research on the fluorescence profile analysis of the bright spots analysis of the fluorescence spot profiles, we implemented the developed algorism in a software. The software allowed us to provide a wider dynamic range and more precisely protein expression evaluation compared to the previous method.
 
 2. Validation of the Clinical Values of This System
 
 We had already clarified the relationships among our scores, DAB scores and FISH scores last fiscal year. We started to verify whether or not it is possible to divide the breast cancer tissue specimens, which were collected by needle biopsy before surgery at Tohoku University and were not classified based on DAB scores, into the responsive group and the non-responsive group. The result indicated that the PID scores could distinguish the two groups sharply. We are planning to the widen experiment using 100 specimens.
