(4) In vitro evaluation of device
We tried to combine stem cell inducing/differentiating factor with cardiac support device. 
We evaluated gelatin film in vivo and in vitro. One gelatin film including “stem cell inducing /differentiating factor”
is good in that it adheres closely to animal beating heart surface.The other film is cover layer to release slowly the
“stem cell inducing /differentiating factor” from the film mentioned above.
We succeeded to evaluate this new two-layer film system is good for slow-releasing “stem cell inducing /differentiating factor”
in vivo and in vitro.
(5) Optimizing a manufacturing process of device
We tried to get a best mode of optimizing manufacturing process of device using results of the past fiscal year.
We have done trials and errors in computer controlled knitting machine. Finally, we got the best mode of optimizing manufacturing process
about knitting program with repeatability. As a result, we established good and stable manufacturing process in a device size
and expansion. And we studied combination of gelatin film containing ONO1301- microsphere and cardiac support device.
And we got a new type of cardiac support device that had two pockets containing two gelatin films for posted both side of that one.
(7) Study of biological safety to cardiac support device
We performed intradermal reaction test as one of the biological safety tests of medical devices.
(8)Study of medical device sterilization method.
Current year, we studied device sterilization method. We found that ethylene oxide gas sterilization(EOG) will be suitable for
cardiac support device. There are three types of sterilization method in industrial medical device manufacture;1autoclaving,
2ethylene oxide gas sterilization(EOG), and, 3gamma-ray sterilization. Our device is made from biodegradable polymer fiber.
Autoclaving will destroy biodegradable polymer fiber through hydrolysis. EOG sterilization is best mode of sterilization method
in this cardiac support device, because of no influence on cardiac support device physical properties, and good effectiveness on sterilization.
(9)Market research
We are conducting market research. Current year, we do market research by using ‘’Statistical data of operating number pressed in Japanese.
