(1) Development of the high performance endoscopes
1Development of high-resolution 3D displaying function
We demonstrated the endoscope that we developed and confirmed superiority of the three-dimensional indication.
2Development of ICG fluorescence displaying function
Our new fluorescence endoscope with a HD ultrahigh-sensitivity camera performs instant switching between visible light mode and fluorescence mode. This endoscope can be also connected to a 1-mm fetoscope.
3Development of ultrasound image displaying function
A basic technique of the image processing about three-dimensional endoscope picture was developed.
4Development of high-sensitive displaying function
We introduced HD high-sensitivity CMOS camera for our new endoscope. With only one LED the endoscope performed clear color imaging.
5Development of the appropriate displaying function for a micro site
We developed appropriate displaying function for a micro site and applied for a patent.
6Integration of high performance endoscopes
Due to the worsening public security situation, we abandoned the demonstration in Thailand.

(3)System construction of highly-functional endoscopic diagnosis
1Build systems of the highly-functional endoscope imaging and the innovative communications equipment
We carried out the clinical trial using this endoscope diagnosis system as the third proof experiment at the Chulalongkorn University. As a result, we were able to confirm the usefulness.
Furthermore, we carried out the transmission and the reconstruction experiment of the distant place endoscope image, and confirmed that we did not have any problem.
2Composition of demonstration system in Thailand
According to MOU, we carried out the proof experiment by the cooperation of NRCT and the Chulalongkorn University. We changed the specifications and carried out improvement for the problem from that result.
3Planning strategy for business in Thailand
We investigated the market situation of the endoscope system in Thailand. As a result, it is a very promising market, but the market size is not so big. Therefore the sale in Indonesia with the production factory of Panasonic Healthcare started examination, too.
And we sell it through a local medical dealer from Panasonic Healthcare Singapore Pte. Ltd. in Thailand.
About a pharmaceutical procedure, the local medical dealer acquires an import permit. Panasonic healthcare examines the acquisition of the facilities registration (license) in the future.
