a) Experimental Researches for Offshore Wind Power Generation System, 1) Monitoring to inspect the internal stress on the structure was carried out. The validity of the data was studied. 2) Measurement for the tower and the substructure by using wave pressure meter, strain meter and accelerometer to calibrate the output of the dynamic code analysis was started. 3) DLC (Design Load Cases of winds and waves) of all the condition including stop condition and failure condition were calculated in accordance with GL’s guideline. 4) To evaluate the wave load due to non-linearity of wave, measurement by using wave meter was started. 5) To minimize the number of boring survey, verification of geophysical prospecting in the wide range of the area was carried out. 6) To evaluate the performance of salt preventing ventilation system, salinity measurement was carried out in the nacelle. Simultaneously, the condition of the dust free filter and the salt free filter was inspected. 7) Data management system was installed to evaluate the performance of the wind turbine generator. b) Development of O&M of Offshore Wind Power Generation System, 1) Conditioning monitoring system for main component (generator, bearing, transformer, etc.) was started operation. 2) To shorten the period of recovery from failure, additional monitoring system was installed. 3) To grasp the actual O&M for offshore wind turbine, results of all activities were recorded. 4) To analyze the lightning on offshore, measuring system for lightning was installed at the bottom of the tower, and started operation. 5) To evaluate accessibility to conduct routine inspection, weather simulation and marine phenomenon simulation and short term prediction system were studied. Access results were inspected to improve the evaluation criteria and safety. c) Environmental impact study: Fish and bird monitoring were carried out under the operation condition of the wind turbine generator. At the same time, water quality and bottom material quality were monitored to evaluate the impact on marine life.
