英文要約(1) Supply chain sustainability study for main components
The general-purpose material of the magnet for the motor drive and passive magnetic bearing as main components of the axial pump for sustainable productivity after commercialization had been searched and found.
Performance of the pump using the general-purpose magnet and drive unit had been predicted.
Required design modification points to accommodate general-purpose magnet were studied.

(2) Electrical safety verification
Electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility of the drive unit for prototype pump using general-purpose magnet was verified.

(3) Mechanical safety verification
Mechanical safety and performance of the pump using general-purpose magnet and the drive unit was verified.

(4) Manufacturing pump for verification of biocompatibility and durability
Pumps were manufactured for long term animal experiment, antithrombogenicity verification and durability verification.

(5) Manufacturing durability testing apparatus (subcontract to AIST)
Durability testing apparatus having high constancy including alarm monitoring system to fulfill the long term durability test with pulsatile flow for artificial heart was manufactured.

(6) In vitro antithrombogenicity verification (subcontract to AIST)
Effect of the anticoagulation time on platelet activity and amount of thrombus was quantitatively shown using rheometer machine under different shear stress.
