英文要約Title: Research and Development Project for floating tidal power generation using renewable energy, wind and ocean power energy.

This R&D aims to develop floating tidal power generation using tidal current power. Feasibility study will be performed for the selection of verified sea area in 2012 to 2013. Cost analysis has been conducted to substantiate possibilities generation cost within 40 Yen per kWh for future business phase. Numerical simulation model was established and calibrated to match the scale model behavior, and time domain dynamic simulation was conducted to estimate 1/1 scale mooring force. Control system was developed to support both grid connected and disconnected mode of the power generation. According to testing machine results, a suitable offshore test site with reasonable current velocity was identified and general consensus was established with stakeholders including local government, fishery operators/unions, and japan Coast Guard. Metaocean, geographic and geotechnical data were collected and are being analyzed for mooring feasibilities, establishment of design metaocean condition, and power generation estimates. According to Side scan sonar geological survey, Vibro coring geological survey, Cone penetrometer and Multi beam echo sounder, subsea layout was selected. Economic analysis has been conducted to estimate the power generation economics for the future business phase. Our development was announced at Wind Expo 2014 where hold at Tokyo Bigsight. attracting quite much interests and was, broadcasted by a number of major media.
