The lithium ion batteries(LIBs) are useful devices for batteries of cell phones and mobile PC and so on.The applications of LIBs expand to storage batteries for fuel cell and solar cell and wind power generation.
The problem of large LIBs is internal resistance. When the large current flow through large LIBs, the energy loss occurs and the power density decreases because of internal resistance.
To reduce the internal resistance of LIBs, it is important to reduce the resistance of the electrode .To reduce the resistance of the electrode, the conductant that is highly efficient and able to mix uniformly is need.
Our target is to develop pitch based carbon nanofibers by spinning and carbonization and graphication and pulverization. The carbon fibers are supplied for conductant for LIB and the power dencity of LIBs with our fibers will increase. The LIBs with our fibers suit for batteries for emergency power source and erectric vehicle fuel cell and solar cell and wind power generation. The LIBs with our fibers contribute to the introduction of the energy spread.
We made the carbon fibers and made the cathode with our fibers for LIB. The surface resistance of the cathode was 0.01 ohm/sq and the resistance is lower than that of usual fibers.
