英文要約1. This R&D. The dye-sensitized solar cell (DSC) can be prepared by screen-printing without needing a high vacuum process and expensive materials. Therefore, DSC is expected as a low-cost PV. In this R&D, Fujikura Co., Ltd. performs the technology development of the highly efficient DSC module that has enough durability at outdoor utilization. As the target of this R&D, we will achieve less than 10% of efficiency decline at the JIS C8938 durability tests for DSC modules. And also, the 10% light-to-electron conversion efficiency at 30cm-by-30cm DSC modules is the final aim until 2014. 2. Results. (1) "The R&D of large area and high durable DSC module" In research development until last year, we made 25cm-by-25cm series connected modules consisting of two unit cells and obtained the conversion efficiency of 7.2% (aperture area). However, this module did not show expected Vpm, because of the insufficient silver grid structure. Therefore, we re-designed the 25cm-by25cm module and achieved 7.6% conversion efficiency by the new 6-series connected 25cm-by-25cm module (aperture area: 645cm2).(2) "The efficiency improvement technology development of the high durable DSC module" In this year, we tried to apply new efficiency improvement techniques developed in the Tokyo university of science (TUS). TUS groups have achieved 11.75% conversion efficiency at the 1cm2 DSC. We studied to apply the TUS developed materials for our 5cm-by-5cm cell, then we fabricated new materials applied cells, it shows 10.6% conversion efficiency (aperture area: 25cm2).
