(1) Safety inspection standard for 70MPa Hydrogen Refueling Stations(HRSs)
The following items have been carried out to draft a safety inspection standard and a regular voluntary inspection guideline.
1) Evaluation of safety inspection standards, regular voluntary inspection.
2) Evaluation for standardization of Ultrasonic Testing (UT) method for accumulator.

(2)The pressure relief devices(PRD) for composite vessel installed in hydrogen trailer
The following items have been carried out to draft a technical standard in High Pressure Gas Safety Act (HPGSA) in order to use thermally actuated safety valves (glass bulb type).
1) Investigation & study of HFCV-gtr etc,.
2) Experiment of testing items.

(3)Revision of safety distances for HRSs
The purpose of this study is to propose new safety distances for HRSs required by HGSA through evidence based approach.
The following items have been carried out;
1) Implementation of new methodology.
2) Investigation and collection of preceding studies.

(4)-1.Refueling H2 to FCVs on public roads
To clarify issues upon refueling H2 to FCVs, when out of gas on public roads, the following items have been studied to design equipment and establish its operation procedure.
1) Deciding policy of designing the portable equipment.
2) Engineering & production of portable equipment.
3) Demonstrations (in the gas production site).

As complementary hydrogen refueling measures at the early stage of FCVs commercialization, we’ve investigated related regulations of installations and handling for “micro HRSs” to supply hydrogen to FCVs almost out of fuel at specific multiple places.
The followings have been executed;
1) Manufacturing a prototype of micro HRSs.
2) Demonstrations.

(5)Mitigation of maximum temperature on hydrogen trailer containers
In order to use the container on hydrogen trailer up to the temperature of 85 ℃, the following items have been carried out to draft the technical standard in HPGSA.
1) Investigation, study of related laws & regulations.
2) Study of safe filling conditions, required equipment specifications, safety measures for storage and transport.

(6)Technical standard for LH2 Storage type HRSs
The following items have been carried out to draft technical standards in HPGSA, Fire Service Act, and Building Standards Law for LH2 Storage type HRSs.
1) Study of LH2 Storage type HRSs related technology, risk assessment, safety measures & draft technical standards.
2) Follow-up study for the regulatory review process of proposed draft.

(7)Technical standard for small hydrogen supply equipment
The following items have been carried out to draft a technical standard in the HPGSA, which enables small HRSs having less than 30 m3/day production capacity to be constructed in the urban area adjacent to a conventional gas station.
1) Research of existing small HRSs and need survey of suppliers and customers for small HRSs.
2) Study of making logic to draft a technical standard.
