(1)Analysis of the output fall in water and seaside area
It developed that output fall is caused by decarboxylation with water.
Selection of sealing agent and molding condition enable to prevent permeation of water. We thought the technology avoided output fall and PID and evaluated sealing and process condition. EVA is used as sealing agent normally because it shows good physical properties are acquired by a cross-linking reaction but EVA shows some issues. One is process condition. It’s necessary to set up the molding conditions for a cross-linking reaction. The other is acetic acid problem. Acetic acid, which is decomposition, affects cell and an electrode. Moreover, it turned out that volume resistance falls because moisture permeates, and it becomes a cause of a PID phenomenon.
In order to solve these problems, the sealing agent of the olefin system was examined, and molding conditions were evaluated.

(2)Development of float structure
Mounting system on water has some problems. Cost was the most important issue.
Especially sea area, damage from salt water and influence of a wave are big issue. We had almost no track record on sea area, for only lake and so on.
We developed floating module system without aluminum frame. The idea can reduce a cost because expensive mounting system is not needed. We tried to make floating module sample using foamed plastic in real module size and evaluated sample.

(3)Examination of inverters
Examination of power conditioner system is important issue because it’s set sea area. It’s necessary to prevent influence of salt in atmosphere.
We are developing monitoring system that enables to check from a remote place. It can detect abnormalities of a power conditioner.

(4)Reservation of an actual proof test site place
The detached island in Imabari-shi, Ehime was selected. Land maintenance is under construction.
