1. Content and Achievement

We have established the guideline for a hydrogen station, that evaluates a station performance adapt to the technology standards of hydrogen fueling [JPEC-S 0003(2012)]. Furthermore we have studied technological direction of Euro-American hydrogen stations. In addition to that, we have promoted the international cooperation for the hydrogen fueling.

Sub theme1 (2) Development of Guidelines for Performance Validation of Hydrogen Station on Hydrogen Fueling
We have classified the performance of hydrogen station into 1) fueling pressure control, 2) average pressure ramp rate control, 3) fuel flow rate control and 4) hydrogen temperature control. And the conditions and the content of evaluation were specified. The guideline includes same notes of safety, measurement point and test equipment for evaluation.
The guideline is attached at the end of the report.

Sub theme 2 (3) International Cooperation on Fueling Technologies
We attended “International Workshop on H2-infrastructure and Transportation Session 1” held in Berlin on June 24-26, 2013.
We discussed and change the information with the USA, Germany and Europe. staffs about many technology issues for first commercialization, especially short term technology issues. The hydrogen fueling technology session is session 1.

We explained about the Structure of regulation, C&S activity, Regulation & Technical Issues and Demo program status in Japan.
Especially we explained Japanese regulation is very complex and many restrictions. Ex Not exceed 70MPa.


About fueling protocol, SAE J2601 is practical global standard..Japan made the fueling protocol guideline (JPEC-S0003) , it was refer to SAE J2601..
But Europe is using other fueling protocols.We discussed and agreed that Fueling protocol internationalization is very important.

We discussed and agreed that Fueling protocol validation at HRS is very important..Europe and USA showed the validation devices for fueling protocol.
We decided to continue these discussions about these issues.
