1. Development of a solar array supporting structure best suited for slope lands. To develop a solar array supporting structure easily constructible without heavy machinery and an adjustable structure. (1)Devised the basic structure and specification of a solar array supporting structure for slope lands. (2)Surveyed the installation examples of a solar array supporting structure for slope lands and sheet-type PV modules, and considered the safety and workability of them. (3)Considered the connection method based on the basic structure and installation plan of automatic installation machinery. (4)Surveyed the influence of snow on a solar array supporting structure, and calculated the strength of parts and foundation.
2. Development of the system design technics. To develop the system design technics that can reduce power generation losses peculiar to slope land conditions. (1)Surveyed the system design pattern including equipment capacity and layout suited for slope lands. (2)Considered the simulation methodology of power generation and feasibility based on system design patterns. (3)Determined the basic system design in a demonstration site. (4)Considered power generation characteristics of solar systems that is lay out on different directions.
3. Construction, operation and evaluation of a demonstration site. To construct approx 50kW demonstration system, collect the measured data and evaluate the periodic maintenance effect.(1)Arranged land lease conditions with the owners and negotiated grid-connection conditions with the utility. (2)Drew up a plan for the land measurement and ground survey. (3)Considered equipment layout, sectional plan and fense pattern. (4)Selected and procured solar panels and PCS for a demonstration site. (5)Determined the measurement system configuration.
4. Modelling of system installation. To establish the installation model for commercialization with municipalities and private companies that own unused lands, and conduct promotional activities. (1)Surveyed current usage status and constraints of slope lands that advisors own. (2)Calculated power generation cost of solar system for slope lands. (3)Evaluated economical risks and impacts of snow on power selling incomes. (4)Prepared for statistical meteorological data for feasibility simulation.
