Subject 1. Planning and coordinating arrangement for the research work
A scheduled plan for the project through the period of the stage was made and the necessary transaction started accordingly.
Arrangements with Tohoku University for the cooperation and with the relevant experts to support the project were settled. Candidates of the adequate makers for the major equipments such as electric furnace, gas-bed, etc. were searched and selected properly to meet the fundamental designs and specifications. The expense estimations and the related arrangements for the orders were made.
Subject 2. Expected solutions for the main technical issues and arrangements of the specifications of the experimental equipments, etc.
In parallel with the Subject 1, technical issues such as the non-contact formation of thin crystal sheet from silicon melt, minimization of the possible defects of the formed silicon sheet, control of the crystal growth and estimation of productivity were studied and the adequate solutions thereof were investigated. The specifications of the equipments and simulations to meet the solutions were prepared.
On the basis of the above investigations, designs of a high performance, multi functional small electric furnace as well as the key parts and devices for the furnace were decided and due orders to the makers were accomplished. Also, simulations of the related heat and gas flows were done to realize the expected performance of the above mentioned furnace, parts and devices. Further, productivity was estimated based on the principle and features of the technology.
Subject 9. Arrangement of business plan
Enterprise which may enjoy profit with supplementary features was surveyed for the expected undertake and consultation was made with a candidate enterprise.
The trend of the solar battery related market including price, strategy, development of the market, etc. was investigated.
