英文要約Title: Development of low cost and high performance ground source heat pump system and its design and evaluation method. (FY2014-FY2016) FY2014 Annual Report

1. Development of the boring machine, boring method, and high performance U-tube for borehole ground heat exchangers that can reduce the installing cost

Manufacturing the vibration drill with variable rotating speed and the screw-attached inner rod was started.
Also, the installing tests of borehole ground heat exchangers were carried out in order to optimize the vibration drilling speed and borehole diameter according to the geological condition. In the installing tests, the four boreholes were drilled at the same site. As the results, it was shown that the boreholes with small diameter have the advantage of shortening flushing time.
Additionally, the prototype high performance U-tube was produced and installed at the one test site in which installing test of borehole ground heat exchanger was carried out.

2. Development of the multi-source and multi-functional ground source heat pump unit with low cost and high efficiency

The cycle simulation model of ground source heat pump unit with the heating output of 30 kW was developed. Then, it was confirmed that the performance of ground source heat pump unit was improved when the internal heat exchanger was equipped by using the cycle simulation model.
The prototype ground source heat pump unit with the non-inverter compressor in order to reduce the cost of heat pump unit was produced. Additionally, the prototype ground source heat pump unit for hot water supply was manufactured.

3. Development of the optimizing control system for ground source heat pump system that contributes the cost reduction and performance improvement

The equipment constituting the hybrid ground source heat pump was set as the ground source heat pump units, the cooling tower, and the thermal storage tank (or boiler). A control logic of the hybrid ground source heat pump system was determined.
Also, the subject installed the heat recovery ground source heat pump system was investigated. Basis on the result, the field experiment of the heat recovery ground source heat pump system was constructed.

4. Development of the design and performance prediction tool for GSHP system utilizing geographic and geological information and providing the potential evaluation map for GSHP system

The interpolation algorithm and working flow of boring information in order to provide the database of geological condition and groundwater was developed basis on the Kriging method. Then, the groundwater flow in Sapporo city was analyzed on trial.
Also, the programing language of the simulation tool for the ground source heat pump system was changed to Java and the simulation tool was built on the web site.
Furthermore, the design method of ground heat exchanger's length for potential map of installing the GSHP system was investigated.
