英文要約(1)Construction of tidal current power generation system
To product the real scale model was conceptually designed. The problems about design and manufacture of each component were clarified.
And then, development tasks that should be verified beforehand, such as cooling structure and optimization of system efficiency, were summarized.

(2) Development of vertical axis dynamic lift turbine
Numerical analysis for three types of blade for water wheel was carried out to determine the optimum blade for water wheel.
From now on we would like to proceed in order to determine the optimum shape of the blade by further analyzing.
“Test equipment to verify the performance of seals and slide bearings” was designed and produced in order to estimate the function, performance,
and durability of these seals and slide bearings.

(3) Development of non-contact power transmission mechanism
For non-contact magnetic coupling and magnetic step-up gear of real scale,
the structure and the shape those have desirable rotative power transfer characteristics were derived from magnetic field analysis.
Two magnetic step-up gears (scale; 1 kW) were made, and desirable transfer characteristics and static characteristics were confirmed.
And also, to evaluate dynamic characteristics of 1 kW magnetic step-up gear, the evaluation equipment was made.

(4)Invention of reasonable design and construction method for the tidal current power generation facility on offshore structures
The tidal current power generation facility is going to set on an offshore structure.
For the construction of the facility foundation, we conducted the field survey about the conditions of the construction.
As a result, we recognized some issues that will make construction difficult.

(5) Feasibility verification of the power generation from tidal currents using bridge pier and port structures
Power generation from tidal current technology was explained to the Ministry of Land,
Infrastructure and Transport which is governing legal authority in a harbor and a road.
It was possible to get understanding to power generation from tidal current by technical description.
Suitable place of power generation from tidal current was selected using a tidal energy map, and site reconnaissance was put into effect.
We confirmed the fundamental form shape of the target area by site reconnaissance,
and reported on the installation situation of the bridge pier and the harbor structure.
A current around the harbor structure of Akashi-ura fishing port was observed and the energy amount was calculated.
To ask for understand of technology, power generation from tidal current technology was explained to the area of sea user.
And we reached a consensus with cooperation to field survey and participation in a roundtable for the feasibility value of the power generation from tidal current.
