英文要約Title : Demonstrative Research on Offshore Wind Power Generation System (Choshi) (FY2010-2016) FY2014 Annual Report

1) Development of offshore wind turbine generator :

Effectiveness of the nacelle anti-corrosion systems are good. Air tight systems and salty particle removal filters done good works.
Effectiveness of the lightning protection system is good. The W.T. has no damage.
Effectiveness of the erosion protection systems for blades are under observation. The peeling of the protection coating is observed on the edge of one blade tip.

2) Research and development of the foundation :

Field survey was conducted to investigate the present state of the seafloor. By comparing the profile of the seabed and that obtained last year, it was confirmed that seafloor has been stable.
The on-site measurement of stress acting on the foundation has been continuing. It was confirmed that the calculation method used for design is proper and that the fatigue damage degree of the foundation is predicted to be small for the entire lifetime of wind turbine.

3) Advancement of dynamic analysis model and verification by measurements :

i) Measurement of tower oscillation
The field measurement on distortions and accelerations of the wind turbine tower has been continuing. It was confirmed that the maximum wind loads in the land breeze conditions were larger than those in the sea breeze conditions when the turbine blades are in feathering states.

ii) Improvement of dynamic response analysis:
Modified Von Karman model was proposed for load calculation of wind turbine and validated by using the wind velocity field obtained in this study. The proposed model shows good agreement with measurement and the load on the wind turbine calculated by using proposed turbulence model shows better agreement with measurement while when conventional Kaimal model was used, the maximum load on the wind turbine was under estimated.

iii) Load evaluation of the test wind turbine :
The effect of mean wind speed and turbulence intensity were investigated and a simplified formula for the estimation of maximum load on the tower during operation was proposed. Proposed model is applicable to any height of the tower while conventional method is only applicable to tower bottom.

4) Construction of tower and foundation :

The construction of the foundation was completed at the Port of Higashi-Harima. The foundation was towed to the site and deployed. The filter units for anti-scouring were also deployed.

5) Construction of submarine cable, power system interconnection and transformation :

The construction of construction of submarine cable, power system interconnection and transformation was completed.

6) Development of Operation & Maintenance Technology :

The demonstration and research tests about the improvements of maintenance systems have been done and have got good know-hows about automatic lubrication system.
Effectiveness of the improvements of control systems is good.
CMS (Condition Monitoring Systems) shows that every data is in regular band.

7) Detailed research of the impact on environment :

In 2014, the current environmental condition after the structure was set up has been researched, and the research data has been analyzed.
