Research and development to optimized dialysis system for the affairs of each area contributes to develop quality of dialysis treatment and accelerate expansion of domestic medical industry in Asian countries. Our target is to demonstrate following three concepts. 1) To offer the water treatment system that is adequate to raw water environment in China and to supply super pure water for dialysate, 2) To offer a high quality dialysis treatment by the combination of the high flux dialyzer and intermittent hemodialysis (I-HD). 3) Improve the safety and labor-saving dialysis treatment by introducing dialysis machine with navigation and automation function. To demonstrate these concepts, we made effort to develop Endotoxin Retentive Filter (ETRF) that has high continuous use durability and high flux dialyzer. We achieved the following results. a) We confirmed increase of an initial value of endotoxin (ET) rejection by increasing diameter reduction ratio. We achieved to make an ETRF that had high continuous use durability by increasing spinneret temperature. b) We achieved to make a high separation performance hollow fiber membrane that had an ellipse pore by using the pilot plant with 16 spinnerets and prepared test modules that surface area was 1.6m2, with this hollow fiber membrane. We confirmed improvement of low molecular weight material clearance (ex. urea, creatinine) and separation ratio of β2-microgloblin and albumin by using this test module.
