1. Content and outcomes of R&D
In this research and development, taking into account the challenges and demands in practical applications of these BTL, with high efficiency and cleaner biomass gas, liquid fuel production by aiming for a low pressure-low temperature FT synthesis. More specifically, the superheated steam gasification research and development of two-step 1, 3 low-pressure FT synthesis catalyst research and development of research and development of tar decomposition catalyst 2, 4 low pressure FT synthesis process as a "research and development of high efficiency gas over clean" conducted from FY 2011 through FY 24 research and development consists of four major items of research and development.
1 R&D on Two-stage superheated steam gasification (Contact: Micro-Energy Co., Ltd.)
Remodeling was done to design and manufacture of bench superheated steam gasification of gas composition for the purpose of improvement, to be added to BTL demonstration facility in Yamanashi. In addition, it was confirmed that by commissioning, running stably. Then, start the test operation, have obtained the data such as gas generation and gas composition and operating conditions and raw material type.
2 R&D on Tar refinery catalyst (Contact: Micro-Energy Co., Ltd.)
Remodeling was done to test the design and manufacture of units for the purpose of tar decomposition catalyst reduction and reforming of tar, to be added to BTL demonstration facility in Yamanashi. In addition, it was confirmed that more after commissioning, running stably. Then, start the test operation, have obtained the data such as temperature, gas composition, flow rate, inlet and outlet gas.
3 R&D on Low-pressure FT synthesis catalyst(Contact: National University Corporation, University of Toyama)
Was investigated by the method of catalyst preparation method and the combustion incineration template can be prepared easily the high-active catalyst suitable for low pressure FT synthesis. Was to get the data for activity and selectivity of catalysts prepared by changing conditions and preparation of the catalyst metal.
4R&D on Low-pressure FT synthesis process(Contact: Micro-Energy Co., Ltd.)
Conduct a trial design of low-pressure FT synthesis process, began the detailed design for the fabrication bench unit to collect the data required for detailed study process in conjunction with the University of Toyama.
