1) R&D on Stabilization Technology for Renewable Electricity through Hydrogen Production

We have conducted the system design and safety measure analysis on electrizer components and installation site, as well as the planning of engineering works.

2) R&D on “Smart Control” Logic on Hydrogen Production, Storage and Utilization

We have conducted field study on installation site, and information exchange with weather forecast company on the data compatibility for the system algorithm. With this data collection, we have conducted the analysis of wind-power generation forecast algorithm.

3) R&D on Compact and Stable Storage Technologies of Renewable Hydrogen using Chemical Hydride Pathway

(No specific result for FY2014)

4) R&D on Improvement of Catalysts for de-hydrogenation of Chemical Hydrides

We held the planning meeting on the schedule for first assessment of catalyst samples.
Also, we have developed gas absorption system for the assessment.

5) R&D on Utilization of Renewable Hydrogen

We held two planning meetings (Tokyo and Tomamae) on the system installation and engineering, and worked on documentation and licensing as well as on the cost estimate and specification of components.

6) Assessment of Business model and Development of Deployment Plan for the System

We organized kick-off meeting on March 17 in Sapporo with local stakeholders and candidates for “Committee on Hokkaido Wind-power Stabilization Technology”, and explained project plan and schedule to get their approval for the support.
