英文要約Title: Demonstration project for versatile application of photovoltaic generation (FY2013-2015) FY2014 Annual Report

As of 2010 there are roughly 7,000 livestock barns in Japan and they are considered to be weak-structured, which prevents PV installers from taking actions. The main object of this project is to develop lightweight PV systems in order to expand possible installation area. Since this is a collaborative project, Asahi Glass Company is in charge of the development of light and corrosion resistance PV module while altenergy, known as “simple lay”, the way of patented PV system integration, initiates suitable racks for the system. Considering light PV racks, the most appropriate material has to be chosen in accordance with the weight, intensity and strength, workability, corrosion resistance (especially ammonium), and cost. By comparing light materials just as aluminum and FRP (fiber reinforced plastic) with steel, aluminum works the best for the purpose in terms of weight and cost. For further weight saving and durability, altenergy selected the material of each part of PV racks, and improved the structure in FY2014. They hadsss no difference between these racks and conventional PV racks as a result of the tension test with CCT cycle. This year, 5 existing livestock barns were selected and PV modules with these racks were installed in 4 of them, meaning the beginning of the demonstration.Meanwhile, Asahi Glass Company conducted a series of ammonia corrosion-resistant test of PV back sheets, PV aluminum frames and the screw bolts being used, and the most appropriate specifications were determined based on the result. The PV modules with new spec were manufactured and installed in the 4 livestock barns. As the next step, the deterioration of mounted PV modules are going to be inspected throughout FY2015. Also, snow-melting system was examined and developed, and found to be effective as a part of improvement in amount of electricity generation in winter in some snowy areas. Thus, the test sample was created in order to develop the control method of power consumption reduction and to check up the improvement in electric power generation.
