英文要約In order to overcome an issue of PV electricity, that is, intermittency and uncertainty, a novel approach in combination with ICT application has been proposed. In this idea,ICT is employed not only as a controlling device but also as an electrical load. In a modern intelligent society, the energy consumption by the ICT devices are increasing significantly and therefore the energy efficiency is of more importance. However, the competition between energy efficiency and demanding amount of information likely leads to the increase in the energy consumption.
Therefore the adoption of green electricity such as PV is essential to decrease carbon emission.
Although an issue is the intermittency of PV, the distributed system connected by internet not by utility grid will average out the fluctuation of the job amount due to weather conditions. This approach is much easier rather than constructing the additional utility grid to manage the PV electricity.
We will construct three separated sites with PV and remote server which are electrically independent. One job is fragmented into three subsets of jobs and executed in each server. The resultant information will be gathered through internet into one result. The fragmentation and gathering of the data are managed by a host computer.
The distributed server are designed and evaluated in terms of energy consumption, sustainability and security.
