英文要約 JA Yuki Aomori of Agricultural cooperates is rich in biomass resources. This project investigates feasibility of system anaerobic digestion and utilization of biogas producing from these resources in the area. In the system, the surplus heat and exhaust gas (CO2 gas) are utilized to cultivate crops in greenhouse and to recycle crops processing residues by hydrothermal reaction Adjacent to the biogas plant. The by-product discharging from digestion tank is utilized as agricultural material in field. The project constructs system that utilizes biomass without feeding substantially energy from an outside. The results of this project are as follows until the present.
 
1. Method to secure and provide biomass resources
  The discharged biomass resources quantity which is waste of livestock, crops processing, stores of JA and domestics has been investigated in JA Yuki Aomori area. The investigation methods are hearing survey with factory and stores and estimation from statistical data.

2. Investigations and experiment about energy conversion technology
1)Anaerobic digestion and biogas generation
Pilot scale plant for anaerobic digestion, generation, and membrane separation with biogas was established. Operating condition of the plant and transporting method of livestock waste were decided.
2)Hydrothermal treatment for producing raw material of animal feed and pretreatment of anaerobic digestion
Conditions of Hydrothermal treatment for producing raw material of animal feed from crop (yam) processing residues were decided based on previous research.
3)Investigation method to stable operate in the plant
 The variation trends of each biomass resources were grasped to stable operate the anaerobic digestion tank. The investigation methods are hearing survey with factory and stores and chemical analysis of sample.
 The results on estimation of biogas generation with near‐infrared spectrometer showed correlation between measured generation amount of biogas and estimated value of easily decomposable organic matter.

3. Investigation about utilization of biomass energy
1) Cultivation of crops with the surplus heat and exhaust gas (CO2 gas) in Greenhouse
The conditions to cultivate of Mango and tomato were investigated by hearing survey from experience.
2) Cultivation of seaweed with the surplus heat and exhaust gas (CO2 gas) in Greenhouse
The conditions to cultivate of Mango and tomato were investigated by hearing survey from experience. Experimental equipment of laboratory scale was designed based on the results.
3) By-product of digestion
The results of experiment to confirm influence to scatter by-product discharging from digestion tank to field. The results show amount of effective contents in the by-product as fertilizer for crops.

4. Total design of the system
 Planning of this project improve profitability in the system assuming biogas generation and using to greenhouse about energy utilization. To consider various additional value in the JA develop the system.
