英文要約Title: Feasibility study of utilization of biomass energy model compounding agriculture, forestry and industry (FY2015-FY2016) FY2015 Annual Report

This study is a feasibility study of the regional self-supply system of biomass energy, with a focus on the usage of woody biomass in the manufacturing process of diatomite, in addition to promote the usage of biomass energy. At the study field, to manufacture diatomite products, we use a lot of energy that are mostly imported. This study can also help to shift the weight of using energy from imported one to woody biomass that can be supplied from the regional area. 1, Study about the Procurement of biomass material: We did a research at the area around the study field, mainly Hiruzen area, and founded that it is possible to procure about 8,000 ton of biomass material per year from this area. We are going to use the mined land of diatomite as the base area of collecting the wood biomass materials so we examined the plan and found what would be problems. And then, we have already selected wood chipping machine. In addition, we have studied about biomass using livestock excreta. We have already known how much livestock excreta we can use and how many biomass-gas we can get. 2, Study about the usage of energy: We have learned that we can use wood chip as heat sources by introduction of a stoker-type biomass furnace. And using wood chip as fuel can help to decrease LNG that have been using too much in the manufacturing process. We have studied that we can get fuel from excess LNG by introduction of peak shaving system. 3, Study about Energy conversion technique: We learned about what would be problems if we install biomass furnace together with present facility that uses LNG as fuel. We have also studied how to use the exhaust heat of peak shaving system for greenhouse, bath facilities, and pre-drying diatomite.
