英文要約In this project, a 500m grid resolution offshore wind database in the Japanese coastal waters, within 20km from the coastlines, is developed using the mesoscale meteorological model WRF (the Weather Research and Forecasting model). The accuracy of the WRF simulations is verified and improved by comparing with a number of in-situ observations. The target accuracy of the simulations is to have an annual bias of less than ±5% in wind speed at a wind turbine hub height of 80m. In addition to coastal winds, open-ocean winds are also collected using satellite observations. Moreover, social and environmental information data, such as fishing right, shipping route, water depth and seabed property, which are associated with offshore wind development, are integrally stored in the database. At the end of the project, the offshore wind map browsing system for accessing the GIS database consisting of wind, social and environmental information is supposed to be created. In FY2016, the prototype system to obtain public comments has been primarily developed. This R&D project is conducted by four partners (AIST, Kobe University, AAS and WEIT), and the researches conducted by each partner in FY2015 are shown as follows. AIST (National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology) has conducted three researches: 1) setting up computational environment for WRF simulations, 2) planning of the WRF 500m-simulation schedule, 3) creation of an open-ocean wind data using satellite observations. Kobe University has conducted four researches: 1) collection of in-situ offshore wind measurements, 2) verification of the WRF simulation results for the prototype system, 3) selection of three years for the WRF 500m-simulation, 4) study on algorithms for atmospheric stability correction. AAS (Asia Air Survey Co., Ltd.) has conducted three researches: 1) development of the prototype offshore wind map browsing system, 2) operation of the super computer system, 3) making databases for social and environmental information. WEIT (Wind Energy Institute of Tokyo Inc.) has conducted three researches: 1) examination of wind condition elements to be implemented on the wind map browsing system, 2) statistical analyses of winds for the prototype system, 3) organizing a technical committee.
