英文要約To identify the permission requirements for use of sea area, we surveyed the relevant bodies and summarized the information.
To decide on the necessary design conditions for the floating facilities, the natural environmental conditions, wave, wind, current are investigated by the numerical simulations and the observation data on near offshore sites.
The seabed geology survey and magnetic prospecting were conducted at the site where the floating wind turbines and the sea bed cable would be installed.
To select the installation site of the floating structures, we consulted governmental bodies and coordinated meetings with the local fishing industry. Finally, we reached a settlement with local fisheries about the demonstration project.
To identify the possibility of the connection to electrical grid, we selected and surveyed several connection points. As a result of we received the answer from Kyusyu Electric Power that connection to electrical grid was possible to use for this proof study.
Wind turbines:The quotations from WT makers were collected and the used wind turbine makers were decided as 3MW/aerodyn and 4.4MW/Hyosung after evaluations. For checking the WT parts strength in case of floating structure installation, the simplified verification has been done. As the results, the exchanged parts were specified.
Structures:Main dimensions were designed and it was confirmed that the stabilities of the floaters satisfy the NK guideline. Then global hull hydrodynamic analyses of DLC1.6 and 6.1 which were critical for the floater design were performed by using Orcaflex and the structural designs were conducted by the section forces, pressures field and mooring forces obtained from the hydrodynamic analyses.
Mooring System:In order to clarify the safeness and economic factor of mooring system, we achieved fatigue test of composite chain under the corrosive circumstances and performance test of high holding power anchor at the actual water.
In addition to the above, the strength analyses of DLC6.1 which was the most critical for the mooring design was performed by using Orcaflex and it was confirmed that the mooring strengths satisfy the safety ratio specified in the NK guideline.
Observation Systems:We examined the selection of obserbation equipments and the installation design of them on the floating wind turbine. Also, the development study of the data aquisition system and the network system for the data transmission were carried out.
On the conformity of the design to the Ship Safety Act, the safety evaluation of the floating support structure was confirmed on the basis of the NK guidelines.
We evaluated the business feasibility by examining CEPEX and levelized cost of energy of barge-type floating offshore wind system.
We have followed the EIA ordinance of Kitakyushu with consulting the citizens and the local EIA committee. Finally, we have finished the period of Publicizing project proponent prepares a Draft Environmental Impact Statement.
