英文要約1.PCS Development
(1)Standardization (Yaskawa)
Using the Certification Test Parameters of power conditioners for solar power as a reference, test items and required values were selected, especially for parameters specific to small wind turbines, like large fluctuations in power, behavior during cut-in/cut-out events etc. Preparation for test data acquisition has also been started.
(2)Development and provision of evaluation PCS
A standard 5kW PCS was developed, and evaluated for general and grid connection safety functions. Samples were issued for field test. Also, the development of a 10kW unit was started based on the extension of the standard design.

2.Generator (Dynax)
Design and development of 3 and 5kW units were completed and analyzed (3D-FEA) by Hokkaido University, followed by a magnetic field analysis and output simulation and the actual assembly of generators.
Magnetic field analysis and output simulation for 10 and 20kW generators was also completed.
Regarding the production of a 5kW vertical axis reference model the design work and prototyping has been completed.

3.Generator (Toyo Denki)
For the 5kW vertical axis reference model, it was decided that the specification would not have a control circuit. Generator and circuitry design was considered for a generator that has no control circuitry, but has over speed prevention functionality.
A generator without control circuit has been designed and components were ordered for a prototype.

4.Development of Poles (Denro Corporation)
(1) Designing specifications for poles
We studied laws, regulations and standards related to poles for small wind power generation systems in Japan. As a result, we determined the policy to standardize poles considering the 6 parameters/factors (for example pole height).
(2) Comparison of costs for poles using the pole structure method and wind turbine wind load calculation method
Based on the above-mentioned specifications for standardizing poles, we designed poles for a representative 5kW-class horizontal axis wind turbine in trial.
(3) Performance evaluation test
We manufactured an angle truss pole that is expected to reduce pole manufacturing costs as a prototype, and performed damped free-vibration and static load tests. The test results are currently being reviewed.
5.Development of Poles (Uchida)
(1) Determining the specifications for the poles for 5kW vertical axis wind turbines
As the specifications for standard 5kW-class vertical axis wind turbines for field verification were determined, we prepared the specifications mainly as per the "Ministry Ordinance Stipulating Technical Standards for Wind Power Generation Systems and its Interpretation.
(2) Design and cost simulation of poles
For poles for 5kW-class vertical axis wind turbines, we roughly design a current self-standing pole and branch pole as a cost reducing measure using a simplified calculation method, and compared their costs. As a result, we found that cost reduction was not possible.
(3) Overview of pole test
The strength test method for verifying that the 5kW-class vertical axis wind turbine poles satisfy design requirements and their schedules are summarized. The overview of the test: The design load of about 100kN and breaking load of about 150kN or more shall be applied to the test specimen at the ground height of about 10m.
