A) Feasibility Study for the Proposed Project
The study was carried out in cooperation with various Indonesian government organizations. Information acquired from the discussions with these organizations was analyzed and incorporated into the study.

The prospective site in Northern Sulawesi was considered at the first stage, however through mutual discussion with PLN, it was determined that Tolitoli, the site in Central Sulawesi, would be the candidate site for the proposed project.

As part of the study, research of biomass fuels in Central Sulawesi was conducted. Palm Waste was determined to be the most appropriate fuel for the project and as such, the productivity and operating conditions of waste mills were surveyed. Study of alternative fuels such as coconut and corn was also considered, and analysis of the latter has already been completed.

The target area of coal supply research was North Kalimantan state which is close to Sulawesi Island and two coal mines (PKN and LIM) were selected as candidate coal suppliers. Both coal suppliers were determined to have potential to provide stable coal supply.

For design work, the research for utility of the model site was conducted and investigation of layout and plant configuration needed for construction of the power plant has been completed. Analysis of the fuel samples acquired through the fuel research was conducted and based on the result, the fuel co-combustion ratio was decided.

The overall EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction) project scheme to be proposed is currently under investigation. Past projects (layout, configuration) are being used as the basis of the study. Site visits to operating plants for MEMR and PLN are currently being arranged and is schedule to be held within the coming two months.

B) The trial calculation of potential of greenhouse gasses and environmental load
Based on a target of CO2 reduction, the fuel co-combustion ratio has been already decided. Simulation study of CO2 emission amounts has begun and design work has also proceeded accordingly.
