英文要約In order to promote SNG (Substituted Natural Gas) project, an effective solution for large amount of CO2 emitted as a byproduct is indispensable. Besides it is desirable to sell CO2 for making the SNG production business commercially viable. Although Pertamina, an Indonesian national oil company, is interested in CO2-EOR, they can not evaluate the acceptable off-take price of CO2 since the quantitative effect to the oil production by CO2-EOR is not clear. Having considered the above, we develop the technology to forecast the oil production increase accurately and to optimize the facility planning and the operation procedure. Additionally we conduct the study on cost reduction of the SNG plant and the overall economical assessment including the optimal CO2 price.
In fiscal 2015 we created the geological model and others to optimize the CO2-EOR simulation.

1) Technology development for the evaluation and development optimization of CO2-EOR for complicated oil field in Indonesia
The geological model which is the base of the evaluation of oil production behavior by CO2-EOR was created for the complicated multi-layered A-oil field in South Sumatra. The interpretation of the geological concept, the review of actual data of the oilfield and re-estimation of reservoir properties, in terms of rock facies, porosity, permeability, were conducted. Regarding this new geological model, the agreement with Pertamina was obtained, and this will be reflected to the reservoir modeling in the next phase of the study. The special core analysis data of the relative permeability was reviewed from the viewpoint of appropriateness for the reservoir modeling. Besides fluid sampling required for the special fluid analysis (PVT-test, etc.) was conducted. Reviewing the past reservoir simulation studies including the history matching (between the actual production history and simulated result), the necessity of the improvement on the history matching and the possibility on the cross flow were pointed out. Considering these matters, the work flow for the reservoir simulation was considered and planned. The conception of the process and surface facilities based on the status of the present facilities, production and some assumption, was created. Also the conceptual design of the CO2 pipeline from the possible site of SNG plant to the target oil filed was conducted. Regarding the planning of pilot test, the fill up effect by water injection to recover the reservoir pressure was studied preliminarily using the existing reservoir model, which affects the possibility of CO2-EOR on the depleted reservoir like the target reservoir.

2) Study on the enhancement of economics by technical improvement for the SNG production and the CO2-EOR
In order to decrease the steam quantity for the CO shift process, we studied the advantage to adopt the new catalyst which is currently developed by MHI. It is showed that approximately 20% of steam was reduced by the new catalyst than the existing one. The distribution and price trend of the byproducts from the SNG plant in Indonesia were also investigated. It tuned out that the current market prices of slag, nitrogen and the sulfuric acid were 2.63USD/ton, 0.34USD/ton, 90USD/ton respectively, which is equivalent to 4,200,000USD/year of total sales and results in approximately 0.1USD/MMBtu reduction in terms of the SNG production cost. The overall economical evaluation will be done also with use of various study results in the next fiscal year.
