We performed the retests on the discharge coefficient characteristics of the critical nozzles, which were used as the standard for the master-meter method at high-pressure hydrogen. As a result, we could confirm the reproducibility of these standard critical nozzles by the comparison between a nozzle comparison method and the primary standard. It were confirmed that the discharge coefficients deviated from the universal curve prescribed in ISO9300 and decreased with increase of the theoretical Reynolds number, though the values of discharge coefficient differed among its nozzle throat diameters.

The characteristic tests of the master-meter of Coriolis flow meter were performed at HyTReC and JARI/STC. These results will be shown in the annual report of Iwatani Corp.

We will revise the guideline, whose title is "Operative Guideline on Hydrogen Metering Management", by using the present results in this year.

We also performed the tests on the discharge coefficient characteristics of the critical nozzles for an alternative test gas which was nitrogen. The results show low reproducibility which were attributed to the flow-pulsating generated by the test facility and the flow-temperature unstability.
This project will perform more detail studies for optimizing the characteristics of the critical nozzles, and will develop the master-meter method in future investigation.
