For the Cr-Mo steel applied to composite vessel liner, hydrogen embrittlement susceptibility was evaluated using a low-strain-rate tensile test in 99 MPa hydrogen. It was confirmed that the hydrogen embrittlement resistance was good. The optimal liner shape was determined using FEM analysis and fatigue analysis. For filament winding (FW) operation, the optimum curing conditions were searched by pre-examination using a short liner. A long-liner FW operation test of that curing condition was able to suppress cracking and delamination of the end section of FRP. The design policy of composite vessels and the method of design verification tests were also examined.
