英文要約Title:Demonstration Project on Smart Community System in Germany / International Demonstration on Energy Efficient Consumption Technology (FY2015-FY2017) / FY2015 Annual Report

In this demonstration project, electric power storage technology by storage battery and hot-water heat pump technology as heat storage which consumes electric power, in addition, information and Telecommunication technology (ICT), these key technologies are integrated to develop "HEMS (Home Energy Management System) for Local Energy Production and Consumption." The operation in real residential environment, with maximization of PV power self-consumption, establishes technology to reduce the total energy cost, including heat usage in the house. Two collective housings (16 household tenants) are selected:Type-A demonstration site as "a household unit model" and Type-B demonstration site as "a building unit model."
1. (Type-A, Type-B) Risk analysis of lithium ion batteries and fire prevention measures were analyzed, in cooperation with an institute which is specialized for fire protection, to certify the fire safety at the project site. The container was designed with automatic fire extinguishing devices and also alarm system was installed for notifying to the fire department. Information security measures were designed and implemented, to prevent the leaking of private information. The construction application forms were submitted to the local government administration and the permission was obtained. Residents briefing was held to build consensus with residents about the project and consent in writing was agreed with them, before the construction began.
2. (Type-A) Basic and detailed design of demonstration system and equipment layout design were completed. Control algorithm of HEMS was developed and tested. Assembly and installation work in the container-type energy center was completed. Specifications for the equipment and a layout in the containers were completed. Major equipment, such as HEMS, storage battery (Lithium ion batteries), battery inverters, heat pumps and instrumentation were installed in the container-type energy center. PV panels were installed on the roof-top and PV inverters were installed in the attic of the building. System tests will be completed in June 2016.
3.(Type-B) Basic and detailed design of demonstration system and equipment layout design were completed. Specifications for the equipment in the system and the selection of the equipment which satisfies the required specification were completed. PV panels were installed on the roof-top. The foundation work for the container system was finished. The main equipment such as batteries and HP will be incorporated in the containers at the factory and the containers are scheduled to be installed at the demonstration site by May 2016. System tests will be completed in May 2016. Regarding the hybrid inverters, which are scheduled to be installed at the second stage (October, 2016~), the basic and detailed design was completed and unit testing has been carried out. The hybrid inverters were designed to fit three-phase four-wire, 400 V German power grid.
