1-1. Optical access system (TWDM-PON) based on ITU-T G.989 standard
(1) Optical Line Terminal (OLT) and Optical Network Unit (ONU)
We developed 3FPGAs(OSU,40G MUX/DEMUX,ONU) to get link up status between OLT and ONU based on ITU-T G.989.3 specified the transmission convergence(TC) layer. We installed FPGA pogarm and OLT control software (please refer (3) OLT control unit) to OKI’s existing proto-typed TWDM-PON OLT/ONU system and achived link up status.

(2) OLT/ONU Optical transceiver
We adapted optical devices for OLT (XFP size) and ONU (SFP+ size) pluggable transceiver to
meet N1 class (29dB link budget) specified ITU-T G.989.2 standard. And we specified OLT and ONU transceiver specifications such as tunable transmitter and tunable receiver function of ONU transceiver using temperature control.

(3) OLT Control unit
We specified OLT control unit consists of system control, OLT-IF control, Aggregation control, dynamic bandwidth assignment (DBA) per each OSU and dynamic wavelength bandwidth assignment (DWBA).We designed OLT control configuration depend on required control processing performance. For sub-millisecond required control processing such as DBA, DWBA and high-performance access virtualization function will use API interface based on real time OS (RTOS) platform and the other function (not required sub-millisecond processing) will use API interface based on Linux OS platform. We developed OLT control software to achieve
ONU registration, activation and link up between OLT and ONU and confirmed it.
(4) OLT Aggregation Switch unit
We specified OLT aggregation switch such as switching capacity (over 320Gbps) and interface speed (40Gbps) between OLT-IF board and aggregation switch unit.

2. Secure Communication
We specified access virtualization software requirement and interface condition include API such as CPU performance and real time OS. Access virtualization software will install to OLT control unit (Please refer (3) OLT control unit).

3.IoT Access platform for smart community
(1) Access virtualization network architecture for smart community

We clarified the requirement such as transmission distance, bandwidth capacity, latency
and Quality of Services (QoS) from the point of view of sensor and network technology for
IoT related services (Smart city, Smart agriculture, Smart security, Smart mobility, etc.), which is expected in the future. And we made access virtualization network modeling.
Also we constructed optical transmission simulation environment for physical layer level include wavelength tenability, because it’s important to actively utilize wavelengths for
TWDM-PON. As a result, various types of simulation has become a high accuracy can be carried out on the IoT access platform for Smart community including the future of
the technical verification.
