The first feasibility test for clean-energy beacon devices and a clean beacon platform was made and their effectiveness was confirmed.
For this test purpose, 60 clean-energy beacon devices were manufactured and the following behavior were confirmed through the test in laboratory:
- functioning under 200-lux brightness;
- continuous electricity charging under more than 500-lux brightness;
- And functioning by using charged electricity in the dark.
For the clean beacon platform functional test, an application software was developed and it was also confirmed that clean-energy beacon devices registered to the platform and the platform worked together with the application software. This means that collaboration among clean-energy beacon devices, the clean beacon platform and the application software was realized.
In addition, concerning with an indoor positioning middleware and clean-energy beacon devices collaboration, function verification of positioning information identification from receiving characteristic and radio interference aspects was made. The result of this verification was as expected.
Regarding works on reliability and safety, and standardization and commonality, evaluation procedure was studied, which may support clean beacon products evaluation in terms of their relevant requirements. Further to support this study, a standardization committee and a user-needs discovering consortium associated with relevant experts in these fields were organized. In these organization, issues were identified and a direction for use case creation was studied.
